These socket-mount heaters have a tubular shape, so they provide even heating. They can be used to prevent moisture from accumulating and freezing or as a source of localized spot heating. They have a hollow construction to allow them to heat up and cool down quickly. They also have a resistance coil in the surface which helps provide consistent heat. These heaters also change color from rose when cool to gray when hot to indicate the surface temperature. They are mounted in a required screw-in base.
